Penetrol Anti-Rust Spray – makes it easy to stop and prevent further rust
This is how easy it is to use Penetrol. Just saturate the rusted surface with Penetrol until it has a shiny appearance. When dry, continue with any oil, alkyd or water based paint. The main thing to remember about treating rust is that if you can’t reach all areas of all surfaces, you’re ultimately wasting your time.
Application guide
- Light rust and new steel: 1 part primer, 2 parts Penetrol.
- Heavy rust: Penetrol surface until it has a shiny appearance. NOTE: Aluminium Penetrol makes an excellent top coat for iron roofs, metal fences, factory ceilings, tanks etc.
Penetrol makes it easy to restore corroded brass or copper and bring back lustre to chrome & aluminium. Scrub surface with fine steel wool soaked with Penetrol to loosen corrosion and dirt. Wipe surface with a rag after 5 minutes, then polish with a soft cloth.
To remove rust stains from chrome scrub with fine steel wool and Penetrol. Then wipe chrome with a soft cloth to restore shine. The Penetrol will remain in the pits stopping further rusting.
Penetrol makes it easy to restore vinyl car roofs and other plastics
Clean plastic with mild detergent. Rinse and let thoroughly dry. Apply a generous amount of Penetrol and after 5 minutes wipe off the excess. Polish with a soft cloth. Avoid application in direct sun light. Use same method for dashboards, plastic bumpers etc.
